When the days get shorter and the nights longer, many people find that they cannot adjust to the changes in their sleep patterns. The sleep/wake cycle is governed by the amount of light that enters into the eye. When the light decreases, we feel drowsy and go to sleep, with the morning light stimulating us to wake up. Often in winter, the days are so gloomy, we don't get the morning signal to get up at all.
This is why most people find they are happier, more energetic, more rested and more positive about life in summer. By regulating out sleep patterns, using dawn simulation, we can ease out bodies into the morning, and wake naturally just by using natures triggers of morning light, instead of the harsh jolt awake which leaves most of us feeling shocked and numb that you get from a normal alarm clock.
You dont need to change your favourite bedside lamp to wake up to sunshine in the winter. The Sunrise System Dawn Simulator will convert a standard beside lamp into a dawn simulator. Simply plug your own lamp into the Sunrise System, choose the settings to suit you and the light will imitate sunrise and/or sunset, reaching full brightness at the alarm wake up time you have chosen.
You can choose to wake up to the gradually brightening light, between 15 and 90 minutes, or also set the alarm sounder which gradually increases in volume.
The simulator has a wide range of advanced features, including a seven day customised program for individual day wake up times. It also has a random security light feature. It can be used as a night or reading light, has a snooze feature, and is very easy to program. It is small enough to take with you and use while away from home and you dont need to re-set your alarm time each day or at weekends for different wake up times.
The Sunrise System Dawn Simulator is created and designed in England by British designers and engineers.
